Yikes! So glad you made it safe and sound, though wet. We had such a great time traveling with you and Jim, in spite of the dog incident and my broken collarbone. And we were lucky we didn’t all get drenched earlier in the tour. Safe travels for the remainder of your journey, and see you soon!

Looking good. I’m behind on reading the blog. The average temperature here has been 110. Crazy hot!!

Don't you enjoy the no pressure-ness of the low mileage days? I'm afraid I'm getting to like them too much.

I hope you have a nice visit tomorrow. Good timing, in that you are visiting while you can.

Actually bird's foot trefoil, closely related to clover.

I have read of geese taking nesting platforms intended for ospreys because they nest earlier than ospreys... Maybe it is intended to make geese think platforms are already taken... Merely my guess.

I can't believe I beat Bill to this. Tiarella trifoliata, or foamflower. I decorated my daughter's 1st birthday cake with this (we lived on the Bull Lake Road at the time), and nobody died!
