Anne Mathers commented on Canicatti to Enna

We knew it was a long steep climb to the town at then end of a hard day, but didn’t realize until we saw this view just how high we were. It really was way up there!

Thanks for your understanding. I will continue writing now that we’re home. I have trouble finding words to adequately describe our adventure. It was simply incredible.

Sicily has made impressions on us that we could never have known before this. We both thank you for the trail blazing you did there that inspired us to take it on. Just a-mazing!! I’ll continue writing to capture the memories.

I'm far from an expert, but I think that's closer to a sousaphone.

I'm loving revisiting Sicily through your eyes! The Villa had just reopened after years of renovation/restoration when I was there (2013?). It was a highlight of the trip and I enjoyed my 2 nights in Pizza Armerina very much. It is a lovely town. But so many of them are!! Catherine.

Nice to see you back home and picking up on this again! I look forward to reading about the rest of the tour. What a wonderful time to see Caltagirone!

We've been reading and enjoying your journal, but we sure know how it is to have bad internet, how frustrating it makes keeping and posting a journal. We look forward to when you are able to resume it, have a fantastic ride in Sicily!

What an epic ride! We didn’t go this route, but I’ll make note of it for our return tour. Congratulations for making it to the top of the world!

Yes, we have already seen a lot of slumping roads. Need to be super aware on the downhills. Haven’t figured out why they slump in the first place. We’re enjoying hearing about your adventures, stay safe.

Hey, you’re staying in Salvatore’s place! I’m pretty sure that’s where we stayed too. If you’re still there, tell him hello for us.

And get used to back roads that go south on you. If you spend any time in the interior especially, today’s wont be the last.
