1 year agoI feel for you in those winds. Last year in Nebraska my wife got blown off the bike two times. Then we stuck out our thumbs.

1 year agoI was totally unnerved by your text mentioning my friend from my youth. Having not yet seen your post, I was freaked out trying to figure out how on earth you could make that connection. Didn't make rational sense that you'd have a passing thought about little ole me on your journey cross country. Thought I'd been hacked... someone was impersonating you in my text messages... oh, wait, we didn't have a digital footprint waaaaaay back in the Stone Age when I was a kid. ...even hackers couldn't dig that stuff up. We spent the evening changing all our passwords anyway--no lie! If you dig up any more of my sordid past on your cross country trek, ... please ... ... ... no... ... just don't do it. (Montana of all places!!!) But keep the posts coming. I was enjoying them before, but I find them absolutely riveting now. :+)

1 year agoSad they a closed. My brother lived 10 outside of Sula and we used to eat there every time I went to visit. Great food and the Bloody Marys were to die for.

Formal rehab starts tomorrow, already doing "my thing" and given that Friday is 8 weeks post surgery i'm ready to start loading up the iron and get ready for a comp ::-) AND i really, really envy you and the sights/sounds/interactions you are experiencing, THANK YOU for sharing. I did not know you were an English major as your writing and use of phrases is OUTSTANDING.
