Love your writing style, Penguin.
Looking forward to your next ride.

To be honest though, even if I had the physical capacity I don't think I'd care for spending long hours on a bicycle on a highway day after day. And I have time to poke along and annoy shingle back lizards if I want to, whereas a lot of the younger cyclists have jobs and a time crunch to manage.

Young people can be so unintentionally cruel sometimes. :)

It's so much fun! It brings together my years working in aged care and my enjoyment of cycling. And I'm enjoying the experience of electric-assisted cycling too😁

Good on ya, Penguin. When I was younger and stronger I used to pilot a tandem with vision impaired stokers on the back.

A plover for sure, but I think a red-capped one.

Sorry you had such a rotten start to the adventure. Let's hope karma is real!

Bugger! Good thing Mr Penguin was close by to assist you with one of his cards.
As a Vincentian who delivers food parcels to the needy financed in part by process from Vinnie's stores I commend your choice of Vinnie's over another Op shop.

Ugh. Lost wallets. What a way to start. And yet you press onward.

What terrible luck! I’ve lost some wallets in my time, but never where I knew where it could happen and see the scoundrel like this. Glad you have an ally to bail you out.
