I can't imagine that you didn't like US17. Having large semi's whizzing by right next to you is so relaxing :-). Actually one of the worst rides we had was on US17 just south of Myrtle Beach. We got caught in a severe lightning storm and it was raining so hard, I could barely see. I knew that the drivers (who didn't slow down), couldn't see see much either, so it was nerve wracking. We made it OK, bit agreed that we'd never ride 17 again.

3 years agoErin that is rain. I felt so fortunate to have found this church just in time. There was nothing around to hide. I made a good decision because it put it down. It was almost over in this photo

3 years agoWe know what you mean about the lack of breaks. We rerouted this morning because our original route had 35 miles with no stops. We found a route that was about the same distance, but had C-Stores about every 15 miles. However, it added over 400 ft. of elevation - the things we'll do for a Diet Coke!!
