Steve Miller/Grampies commented on a photo in St Genix-sur-Guiers to Vertrieu

You do not have to get off your bike. Those signs just mean the actual bike path where you have the right of way stops when it crosses the road and continues on the other side. The stop sign is there so that cyclists don't shoot into the traffic and get hit by an oncoming car.

There were no ears on this corn. I neglected to mention grapes are still to be harvested. How could I forget grapes?

But WHEN will it get harvested?

i don't recall a castle, although by that time I was focused on dodging cars racing up that incline!

I recognize this! Looks like the exact spot we took this pic in 2018 https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/ltkk2018/ahhh-france-as-we-remember-it-day-5-geneva-to-chanaz/#21644_3496112_PA080222__2_
Did you see the castle /fort built into the west bank of the Rhone a few km’s later?

Anne, we use the Komoot app, which finds bike routes for you. You csn force it to include a way stop and it will work around your request. Super app, really.

The sun looks nice! I’m curious as to how you chose your route for the day?

Perhaps many wives feel that husbands, in general, lack listening skills?

Always the nervous anticipation of a potential tram sneaking up on you from behind.

Patrick Parno commented on Brig to Sierre, or is it Sion?

LOL! Too late for me not to admit it, but there you go. It did turn out really well though, as it meant the next day's ride to Montreux was shorter and we got to spend more time in that wonderful place.

I'm not admitting to anything, but it is possible that I might have done that Sion/Sierre thing myself. Very inconsiderate of the Swiss to put two such similarly-named places so close to each other, imo!
