1 year agoI too am impressed by the Roman structures in Arles, Nimes and Pont du Gard etc. but then have to consider that the Romans mostly used slave labour (I think).

1 year agoPlane trees. Probably London Plane trees, which is a hybrid of the European plane and the American sycomore (plane) and more disease resistant than either of its parents.
