Love how folks meet up not in just different countries but different continents. Well done, the three of you.

1 year agoNeat! Could not find a common name, but it is Cistanche phelypaea. Finally something easy to find on the internet!

Guaranteed, I would have been picking around looking for fossils!

1 year agoThank you Robert. We sometimes overdo the planning a bit, but we prefer to be over-prepared but still stay flexible enough to change plans as needed.

The desert is so beautiful and mesmerizing.
1 year agoThis is how we found them Bill. They are on the large rocks in the photo above. Our guide sprinkled som water on it to make them pop.
1 year agoThis is the first time I have been able to view posts and read and see about your adventures on my computer. Linda would pass me her phone and show me a photo or two. Now I can see what you do on your long-distance cycling trips and what I have been missing all these years. Your photos and journals are exciting to view, and it is easy to see that you are extremely accomplished at trip planning and preparation.

You’re right, it won’t be long now! We’re on our third leg, on the flight to Rome. We made our 40 minute connection in Frisco and so did our bikes, so we should make Palermo later today.
1 year agoHappy birthday, Patrick! So old!
