We often muse, only half jokingly, about how we could live in this or that town. Except for missing the grandkids it would be a go.
2 years agoWe could also have grocery stores with better selections and cheap house wine by the carafe. Don’t think the thought hasn’t crossed my mind.
2 years agoThank you. But it took me longer than it should have. Smiley at R&E Cycles told me they had couple order bikes with the S&S couplers because they live on a sailboat. Put the bikes together, go for a ride, take them apart and store. Something to be said for practice.
2 years agoIt’s actually not too bad, but a stand would help. Website for our accommodation says it has a shop area with tools and stand. Nope. Just a large room where we could store the box.

Your island is a beautiful place to live, but I love the walk ability of European cities. I’ll never have grandchildren, so no worries there.
2 years agoLecce is a place I’d consider. Transportation hub and central to a lot of Salento. Also large enough to have things to do through the year. Bologna is another location I’d consider. Rick Steves has referred to Freiburg as a place where you feel like you could live there and he’s right.
