If I recall correctly, you have been down these stairs not too long ago. I recall you writing about this incident before. A recent trip, perhaps? Am I just imagining this?
1 year agoMaster of understatement 😉
1 year agoThe cycle infrastructure along the Adige is tremendous, as is the scenery! Great photo‘s and description
1 year agoOn our cross Canada trip a guy we met called 10 am the Flinststone’s time. That was the checkout time for most campgrounds and that’s when the rental motorhomes would flood the roads, all being driven by Fred and Barney’s. Watch out! In Europe substitute Viking Tours for Canadream RV’s, it’s the same world over
1 year agoThat's even more beer bottles than my college dorm room had! :)
1 year agoA reminder that it's time to get back to last summer's research project, perhaps?
1 year agoSeemingly also bordering on collapse.
1 year agoIt hurts to be craning my neck to see the summit. That's an impressive slope.

1 year agoIt’s stunning and your description of your ride today is great. Will have to do this day sometime.
1 year agoWonderful photos. Glad you had good weather for your ride.
1 year agoThat's too bad about the weather. I don't blame you for taking the train. I bet it looked pretty socked in all along the train ride today....perhaps even a little moody? Just for perspective, it was 42 degrees Celsius when we were in Trento last summer!
1 year agoI’m sure it would have been, on a dry day (as we remember from five years ago). With rain in the forecast for the whole day, we took the train.
1 year agoI knew you’d be thinking that. It was pure luck that we ended here. I knew nothing about it and was just trying to find the easiest way across the ridge.

You’re right! Two years ago, on the Road to Rome. We took the train from Trento to Crema to void some rain.
