Meanwhile, back in Portland, it's snowing again. You definitely made the correct choice here.

Like you say, without a good closeup, hard to say, but my wild guess based on the color and general shape is Oxalis...

Nope. We use the phone camera the same way we use the Lumix: Push Here, Dummy.

You’re right. It would be. Good use of it, but I never think of it. Thanks for the reminder.

Tried the "city lights after dark" mode on yours? I have yet to try it with mine so I dunno how good it is.

Using the "golden sunset" exposure mode here?

Scruffy and utilitarian, not built for aesthetic pleasure and graceful lines.

Does your camera have the "burst mode" feature? I've not really tried it on mine but from the description this is exactly what it's for. There are a couple of variations, one of which is basically continuous recording of a couple seconds; trip the shutter release once to start, and when you trip it again the last two seconds or so are saved as individual frames. Keep what you want, discard the rest.

That would be nice, if true. This is the backup camera. It’s another Lumix with a better lens actually, but without the zoom.

The camera seems to be fine now!

I think it would have been this one. From your map I think we rode the same route until about two miles pst this point when we veered south for Salemi. After we walked through I thought it would have been OK to bike but I didn’t trust it.
