We have a bus story from Ecuador we'll tell you about some time. It involves a GI situation, maniacal, deranged bus drivers, the military and protestors blocking the road.
1 year agoGI stuff is bad enough when you're at home, but even worse when on the road. Hope it clears up soon.
1 year agoNo,no,we are genuinely pleased for you, and besides, you got a much better sighting!
1 year agoThanks, Marilyn. i know it’s a lot of hoopla to make over a hoopoe, but I’m pretty happy about it.

1 year agoYou and me both. The first hoopoe I saw was in the French Pyrenees, back in 2014. I just caught a flash of it, and it took awhile to discover what I’d seen - I didn’t know of the bird before. I’ve had my eye out ever since.
1 year agoSorry. I imagine you were basking in the glory of posting the only hoopoe shot on the website.
1 year agoOh my, great shot. Lucky you!
1 year agoWhoopee! A hoopoe!
Been waiting to say that for the longest time...
Now that is one cool looking bird! Nice catch.
1 year agoBeautiful video of your entering Ragusa. The music bed was a fine choice to help capture mood. There is something about the Two Kingdoms that speaks to me in. way I can't put into words. The two complementary Sicily journals have me counting the many months (a few years) before I can return.
1 year agoThe Etsch and Eisacktal bike paths are converted rail trails. In fact, if you ride north to south on the trail from Klause. To Bozen there is minimal pedaling involved, hence my recommendation. No idea on the weather there this time of year.
1 year agoThanks.
1 year agoI’m feeling better and love our new plans.
