Beetle on what might be some kind of thistle flower is a scarab, possibly subgenus Cyrtothyrea.
1 year agoAt this point I doubt you're going to close that gap. Might as well just sit up, relax, enjoy the ride, and save your strength for the next day's stage. Concede her the day's points.

1 year agoI see Rachael. She's directly ahead of you, leading by maybe 20 to 25 yards. Since you're in Italy and thereore on the metric system, that's 60 to 75 feet.

1 year agoI’d like to come back for a longer stay myself. I was just saying that to Rachael on our hike today. It feels like one of the most attractive spots for a longer base that we’ve seen on this tour.
1 year agoMe too. I didn’t realize what it was until the next day, when I saw it growing everywhere and recognized the pattern. The yellow variety is really prettier, I think.
