Kathleen said it just right. We are all rooting for you! Good happenstance on your location.

Sorry that big heart of yours is cramping your style. Glad you landed in a nice spot.

Interesting, isn’t it? It almost doesn’t even look Italian. It could be in New Mexico. And, now that I research it, that’s not so surprising. The adjacent tower was built by the Spaniards, so maybe it’s a Spanish church.

One of the more modest examples I've seen of Italian religious architecture.

I like this shot. So glad you were able to resolve your $$ crisis. I did not want to have your trip, pictures and blog of it, over yet. I am looking forward to your onward travelling adventures with no more hiccups!

Yeah, they are challenging to find, and identify. Good spotting!

I like this especially with the poppies in the field.

Looks relaxing? A whole new meaning to the spa mud bath.

They’re an attractive, delicate-looking bird with that tuxedo look. The ones in America are dressed differently but very similar.

Back to birds! I watched The Big Year on the flight home and enjoyed it as much as the first time I saw it. This time I noticed that it’s based on a book, perhaps the book you got for Christmas.
