Hope Rachael's knee is not too stiff/sore for the next few days. Watch out for those small level changes, they can be brutal.
1 year agoThat is the type of slight level difference that gets Dodie every time. This past trip started with the ?broken rib, and ended with a bruised calf and thigh from just such elevation changes.
1 year agoYou really were racing to beat the rain!
1 year agoHope Rachael is okay and there is no lasting damage to the knee. It sounds similar to my fall in Avignon last week. Those curb lips seem innocent enough but are just waiting to waiting to smack you down if given a chance.
1 year agoRachael, sorry to hear about your knee injury! Hope it's nothing serious. See ya soon!
1 year agoGingers are lovers. I have two twins here at home that are about the most affectionate cats I’ve ever encountered. At least they were until a fluffy ginger invited itself into my velomobile yesterday. That cat set the record for most affectionate cat ever. I have the video to prove it, and probably some cat hair still floating around inside my velomobile.
1 year agoI’m really enjoying all the great hiking!
1 year agoIt was great! I just finished a hike in Verona which also has some amazing walls along with a variety of great paths.
1 year agoHa!
1 year agoAbsolutely outstanding! What a sight.
1 year agoI carried a spare rotor (and tandem length brake and shifting cables) as spares on my Alaska bike. They were fairly light weight, and not items I thought I could replace easily in the middle of nowhere. The bike is long gone. I haven't owned a bike with rotors since. But I think I still have that extra rotor floating around somewhere . . . I carried a spare pair of brake pads with me all last summer. We were traveling in areas with extended descents, I don't like high speed downhill, and I'm heavy. The extra brake pads were peace of mind. I haven't planned to take them to Spain.
1 year agoGreat shots of the portici. It's an architectural feature I love.
1 year agoThanks for thia wonderful armchair tour of the walls. Keep on truckin'
1 year agoI can’t imagine trying to straighten a brake rotor with a hammer. Tolerances are fairly small between the pads and rotor so a replacement is really the best solution, if possible.

Crop blotches. Much less formal than crop circles. Perhaps they were part of the inspiration behind the invention of the QR code.
