Rhino of Damocles?
1 year agoThese are called Jefferson steps - at least in the USA. Congratulations on an uneventful stay!
1 year agoFun perspective, though
1 year agoLooks hazardous. We both knocked our heads in a BnB near the Loire with a short loft like that and vowed not to book any more such tight spots.
1 year agoI wondered if anyone would chide me for that. I might have guessed it would be you.
I didn’t say it was a good story, just that it was a story. Since you asked though, I had just spent a frustrating minute trying to get a decent shot of a woman browsing at a clothing rack, pulling out one dress after another for consideration. Very colorful, but nothing that really worked. Then a saw this skirt walking by out of the corner of my eye and on impulse took a quick snap. I was surprised it came out as well as it did, even if it’s not quite in focus.
I assume you realize that it violates Cycleblaze rules to hint at a good story and then not tell the story.
1 year agoWhat a beautiful ride. I'd love to do that one day.

After all the expansive lakeside views this feel constrained almost to the point of claustrophobia.
1 year agoI can’t believe it now, but with two nights in Cremona we didn’t make it inside the cathedral. And we failed to on our previous visit also. Third time’s a charm, maybe.
1 year agoIt looks much worse here than it is. They’re just dabbling around in a sheltered corner where some algae scum has piled up, because ducks are just like that. The lake really looks quite clean.
1 year agoAfter two nights here we were happy to escape unscathed.
1 year agoIt is, for sure. Wait until tomorrow!
1 year agoThat's a bingo! Looking at the Booking site, ours was the place with the jetted tub. We also had a nice sized balcony looking over Corso Campi. Great location and good accommodation. Did you go into the cathedral? I tire easily of churches, but this one was fascinating.
