You are right … we will remember that day. Felt foolish forgetting the pump. We packed up so quickly so we could get the ride in. And glad I only realized that going back about 12 kms from Evora.

It was so funny. I know better about these shortcuts generated by his navigation apps. If it doesn’t look right it probably isn’t. I still get sucked in though.

Clearly😂 I hope it was worth the effort! We found it interesting...We were also driving, so it was a quick pit stop.

We have nothing to complain about Rachael. We have had weeks of glorious sunshine and are glad we got to Evora just before the rain came in. We managed to squeeze a late afternoon ride today which was nice. Train to Sintra tomorrow.

Sorry you are getting so much ran at the end of your tour. You deserve a rain check!

I can still see the place on my leg where it scraped a retaining wall when that happened to me in Italy. Motorcyclists seem to think they are invincible. So glad you're okay!

Hi Kathleen
Thanks for the heads up about Kate Harris on Instagram. I will follow her too. I keep checking if her new book is out, still waiting, can't wait!

Yikes! Glad that you made it to Evora:) We have fond memories, especially of the Praca do Giraldo, Templo de Diana and the amazing view from the cathedral tower. The highlight of the area, west of Evora was our visit to the Cromlech of the Almendres, basically a mini Stonehenge standing in the middle of a cork plantation. Stones actually pre-date Stonehenge.
Fascinating!

Way to close for comfort. And the volume of that screaming machine is stuck in my head. It was over in an instant thank goodness.

They are so frightening but I am reminding myself this morning that I am just fine. A miss is as good as a mile.

It made me think of Rachael and her close shave. I really wish I had had a GoPro. Not to relive it, to take to the police!
