Nice panoramic shooting

1 year agoHi Keith
First of all thanks for the shout out for our Portugal blog. It is so great to read each others' blogs, we learn so much. I have enjoyed yours immensely. I admire your ability to change direction so effortlessly. Wow! You had a fab trip. We have taken notes of your route in Spain and the Alentejo region of Portugal for future trips! Yes we too followed Huw Thomas' route suggestions for northern Portugal and it was a great help in those out of the way places.
Hope you and Kathleen are feeling better soon.
I was surprised at how hard I was hit. I expected a brief and easy time for some irrational reason. Isn’t that sore throat something? I have never had one like that in my life!
2 years agoHi Kathleen,
I had the swallowing razor blades with my Covid in May but I missed the headache and nausea.
Glad that you appear to be over it now.
Mike
I’m so glad that Portugal worked out for you! We plan on heading back to Iberia next fall and early winter, and are still thinking through whether to make it west to there again or come down along the Pyrenees. If/when you do return, you might read up on the road quality in northern Portugal before heading there. It’s much more bone-rattling than the south, in our experience at least.
2 years agoThanks for your note Mike. That was a fun evening in Ronda. We think you and Sandie have retirement nailed. Enjoy Mazatlan . I was there in 1973 so imagine things have changed.somewhat. Puerto Vallarta was just a small village then and is recognizable now.
2 years agoSandie and I hated to see your trip end. Since meeting in Ronda we have been following your adventure. It was great fun to read where you were and see the pictures. Especially when you were some place we had been before. We got home to Winnipeg late Friday. Nice to be home but it was hard leaving Seville after living there for two months. But we have our home in Mexico to look forward to. Leaving for Mazatlan on the 15th for seven months. It was great to meet you both and we are looking forward to the next trip.
2 years agoWishing you a speedy recovery Keith, and remain contagion- free , Kathleen. Thanks for sharing your latest adventure- most enjoyable and informative.
2 years agoThat certainly was a nasty end to your trip but in your always positive outlook on life is once again so obvious. Best wishes for a quick recovery for Keith and fingures crossed that you dodge the bullet
2 years agoGlad to hear you got home okay (or close) and I presume your bikes made it too. I really enjoyed following along in your journal!
2 years agoSorry you got Covid! I hope you recover quickly and Kathleen doesn’t get it.
2 years agoWelcome home Keith and Kathleen. What an adventure and then Covid! Take care and get well soon. Love to hear more when you’re feeling better.
2 years agoThanks for your note Scott. Feeling pretty good on day 4 and so far so good with Kathleen. You are so right as it being another cost / risk of travel these days. Glad to hear you are both on the mend. Enjoyed following along with you guys over some familiar territory . All the best!

I remember a lime green cycling vest that was described as "repels motorists". This ferry is just plain repulsive!
