Hi Steve - I sent you the names to the hotels to your email address with screenshots of the bookings.
1 year agoWhich hotel did you stay at in Huelva? And in Vila Real San Antonio?
1 year agoHey now we ARE here, in Islantilla. Reading your blog from here is even more interesting.

1 year agoYikes, I just read this. The wallet story still has my heart racing!
1 year agoI am just reading this now, so I am exclaiming to Dodie first about the great bike path and then about the detour. She had read this long ago, so now has to go through it again with me. And when you get the email notification of this comment, you too will have to detour again!
1 year agoSo great! I just love this kind of stuff.
1 year agoI am settling right in on a rainy day to start reading! Thanks so much for the compliment and for posting a journal. We are dreaming about next year and we love having a new journal to read.
1 year agoWe travelled to Spain shortly after you. Thanks for the timely information - it influenced our route planning!
I finally got around to publishing my journal: https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/betsyandgail/

1 year agoThe buildings are so white! Your photos are starting to look a lot like Portugal!
1 year agoI actually just wrote you an email asking if the Grampies would be too crabby to cycle some of the stuff from previous pages. But now I am going to go hide under my quilt.
1 year agoWow, the figs are backed up by pastel de nata. Pastel de nata is a good reason to go to Portugal, though admittedly their are great ones in a bakery opposite Jean Talon market in Montreal.
1 year agoRight now (December) in BC, that's about $10 in tomatoes alone on the bruschetta. So weird though how they failed to cover the whole pizza with topping.

We saw a couple of those - nothing as dramatic though. Great photo.
1 year agoI just read your Serpa post - we didn't even go inside of the castle walls, and were on the other side of the town from the castle. If we find our way back again, we will be sure and tour the castle. Your photos make me feel that we missed out. :(
