Yeah we have settled on 35-50 miles being a happy spot for us, depending on winds, hills, etc. I agree, high milers can inspire but we don't try to match them.
6 years agoI remember my grandparents watching Hee Haw and it was basically the same jokes every week.
6 years agoThanks Mr. G. We are enjoying the freedom to ride as far as we want or not. In fact I'd say Freedom is Groovy, but you already said that. Montanans are great, although they drive like insane people.
I recall you guys visited Mrs. Montana a year or so ago, correct?
Thanks for reading.
Yeah it's right by downtown. I think you and I went to Great Falls to see see some of your aunt's and uncles on the way, didn't we?

6 years agoThe agonizing ride made for a great read, anyway. And I know that feeling when you just hope somebody will steal your bike. lol
6 years agoCongratulations you two! I thought you had been married for 50 years.
6 years agoIf you feel really overheated at the end of a long day and get a Budweiser or Pabst try adding ice cubes. I've never seen this done in America but it's commonly done in Thailand and we got to like it especially if the beer was watery to begin with. It made it even better than nothing!
6 years agoI think Lewis and Clark ran out of whiskey on July 4. By mid-July they probably would have been willing to settle for a PBR.
6 years agoAwesome! You did it. That sucks you didn’t get to coast after the long, arduous climb!
6 years agoWell done! Any beer tastes great after a day like that!
6 years agoRogers Pass! 10 years! Sleep, eat, and sleep some more! Congratulations!
6 years agoI totally agree with your sentiments about finiding your own groove with a tour. We can't all be 100 mile a day riders who will cycle through anything. I love reading about people like this and they inspire me, but I know that I can't emulate them. It takes the pressure off when you make decisions based on what's best for you, not what someone else would have done. So glad you two are finding a way to make this tour awesome!
6 years agoPretty sad that I can still sing along with the Hee Haw song (including the groans).
You guys deserved those cheeseburgers. Well done!
Thanks!
