6 years agoWe were very lucky that Pat and Jalet drove us out there. We probably would not have taken the detour on our bikes with the excessive heat.
Would be a great ride, though, in cooler weather.
Yes! This level of hospitality makes a huge difference! Imagine a network of similar hostels across the country ...
6 years agoI’m so glad you were able to make it out to the painted hills. We just saw it for the first time about two years ago, and we’re blown away.

6 years agoBruce, A few mileas after I passed it, I seriously began regretting the fact that I didn't pick it up. Yesterday I looked at the image location and it's 63 miles from here I am now. If it was closer I would ask our friends here to drive me back. Aarggh!
