Erika said it was the best Strudel we have had. My theory is she was put out that she had to wait until I took the picture :)
6 years agoYeah it was hot enough that I was tempted :)
6 years agoYes Apfel Schorle has become my drink of choice
6 years agoErika seems a little put out. My theory- she got the smaller glop of schlag.
6 years agoAs the sign said, use that ramp at your own risk. Looks inviting for swimming, but usually not recommended.
6 years agoApfel Schorle - good choice!
6 years agoWhat did the mechanic say about the brakes?
6 years agoYup - Misletoe it is. xxx
6 years agoYeah, Actually I understood all that. The trick actually was that I didn't realize I was pasting a link. I only meant to paste the text referring to the page. Silly me.
6 years agoYeah, the old guy that led us through town at one point was hard to keep up to
6 years agoCould be dangerous - look at that crossing Grampie on the fast looking ebike!
6 years agop.s. It's really devious, because if you later test the URL you have given for the link, it will appear to work! That's because Cycleblaze knows that you are the author, unless you go through the trouble of logging out.
6 years agoHey Marvin, there is a little trick about Cycleblaze- the author of a page is normally put into it in "edit" mode. From that position you see the page almost exactly as the public does, but you have the ability to edit it. The edit mode of the page, however, has a different URL from that used by the public, and if the public attempts to come in on the edit URL, they will get an error.
So to link the public back to Exploring Brugge and on to Brussels, they need
https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/plannedspontaneity/exploring-brugge-and-on-to-brussels-days-9-and-10/
whereas
https://www.cycleblaze.com/edit-item/12674/ leads only to tears!
Yeah, I was pretty proud of myself for being able to manhandle it. I wished after that I had a picture, but whenever problems present themselves I get distracted by the problem solving.

He said they were fine. He checked to make sure they were still good. We have had such great weather that the bikes seem to be in fine shape. The main stress they get would be when the roads are rough. I am amazed at how well the tires and tubes have been holding up, they don't seem to lose air at all. In 4 weeks one tire dropped 50kp and that was all. I could tell from squeezing them and he confirmed it for me.
