1 year agoOh the food looks delicious, even better when washed down with a refreshing beer.
1 year agoOh another thing I’m not to keen on is Root Beer but having not sampled the American version I’m keeping my mind open to acknowledge it’s probably a lot better Made in the USA. Well done on the 3000 mile achievement.
1 year agoBravo for your new puncture proof bicycle getting you through the minefield of grit. You’re nearly there now, what an achievement.
1 year agoWell done for coping with the rain’s intensity, I experienced a deluge of rain having left the York feed station heading towards Scunthorpe on my first failed attempt of the Newcastle to London ride, one you would have achieved with ease, the rain was accompanied with fork lightning and rivers of water were at least 4 inches deep. Eventually the rain stopped and the warm August air actually went a long way towards drying my gear, I didn’t make Scunthorpe though. The dreaded bonk hit me 6 miles short of the next stop. Pooh. You’re doing so well, keep it up.
1 year agoCan’t remember cycling in rain like it Hugh.
1 year agoWe could try. Root beer and ice cream.
Failing that, your pud’s sorted next time you come round.
For a horrible moment I thought you were going to report having seen Noah the shepherd leading his animals in to his Ark. At least you managed to enjoy the last few miles with a tail wind.
1 year agoNever had one.
Do you think the Bike Shed could be persuaded?
I’ve no idea what that means! Neither does Google.
❤️
By now it’s 390 miles in four days. Blimey.
1 year agoCuuz!
1 year agoWell done on completion of a couple of centuries- a big ask of the old body that!
1 year agoHaving played catch up on your progress to date with my morning coffee I see a distinct pattern emerging with town suburbs quickly becoming agricultural fields, towns with deprived areas, towns with lovely houses and well manicured lawns. I imagine things will soon change as your journey nears the end.
