“Once in a lifetime” is a term which springs to mind when thinking of your own journey but I know only too well, some people seem to relish signing up to such rides on a regular basis meaning there’s more to come Peter.
1 year agoThanks for keeping me entertained with your blog but am sorry to read the sad news of how Lisa ended her journey, I do hope she makes a speedy recovery.
1 year agoThank you very much for this kind feedback Rich. I've finished the blog today, along with some reflections a week after I got home.
1 year agoCongratulations on an epic ride! I've really enjoyed following along. I appreciate the effort it must have taken to keep this journal. I think it gave a really good idea of what it's like to do a ride of this magnitude. You're amazing!
1 year agoWell done Peter - hope you enjoyed most of the trip and looking forward to seeing you back home. What's next on the bucket list?
1 year agoPete. It’s been great reading your daily comments, but I’m sure you are glad it’s soon time for a rest .
Enjoy the remainder of your journey, and take a bow for your efforts.
Peter, one of your most descriptive reports, I almost felt the suns heat warming the sky as the mist evaporated. Carry on and enjoy the final miles. You’re on the home run. Ooops, ride.
1 year agoMost of the photos are from others in the group. I’m too impatient to stop to take pics.
1 year agoThanks Hugh, Throat still sore but there’s life in the old dog …
Just 17 miles in the morning, then it’s all done!
Eating has been a problem as US food is not what I’m used to. Too much fat and not enough fresh fruit and veg.
Another achievement, another day and more importantly another mile closer to achieving your goal. Well done. I hope your sore throat isn’t going to become a full blown cold. Are you eating enough protein? Only asking, not related to your sore throat.
1 year agoGreat views today.
1 year agoYou'll have to explain the second part of your journey to me at some point in time!!
