Good point. Likely Rachael was just mistaken and they were really mute swans.

You’re right! This goofball doesn’t even have his earbuds in.

Hmmm .. if thousands of cranes are calling at Sauvie Island and you can't hear them because you're on Leif Erickson .. do they still make a sound?

Amazing! How great to start the day (and the season) with a succession of improving sunrise views.

That is some beautiful data.

Oh, and yeah, pretty impressive stats too!

One of my favorite Portland rides was the first time we rode Leif Erickson on a Monday after we retired.

Though it's great to be out amongst other happy people not driving cars, it's a very different and wonderful experience when the weekend crowds aren't there.

This photo reminds me .. have you been to Bagel Land @ NE 42nd & Fremont? No tables, but great bagels.

Yeah, this guy doesn't know what he's missing! The seat in a pickup truck would be so much more comfortable. And he could listen to talk radio, too!

Wow - this looks a lot like our dog Macy, who also liked to stand on people's feet.

Thanks, Sue. I hope we still love those hills. We are getting older, don’t ya know.

You’ll be leaving in three months? Just when we’ll be getting back. Too bad - we were hoping we might hook up when we come up there in July, but maybe one of these years we’ll cross paths.

Looks like you two are going to find some great, hilly rides, which you love and I love reading about! Since we don't leave town again for another 3 months, I'm looking forward to reading about this trip! Enjoy!

That was my second choice. I wore glasses, and he reminds m a bit of myself. A bit too attentive though - I was always spaced out a bit, wishing I was someplace else.

I think I would be the kid with the green glasses. I never wore glasses, but I like how he's sitting on his haunches rather than on his rear end.

You certainly were treated to an abundance of wonderful flora and fauna! Again a beautiful ride.

I hoped if I left it blank someone would fill it in. White star for you!
