I might camp one night at Lochsa Lodge and then make the 66 mile ride to Lowell. Temperatures in the upper 90s the next bunch of days

Dave—Great to meet you at the summit on your way to Sula! Your story of perseverance through hip replacement and broken bones was inspiring.
I was thinking about your concern of the leg from Missoula to Kooskia. I believe that going east to west you can make it from atop Lolo Pass to Kooskia pretty easily in one day. The first 6-8 miles from the summit are steep, the remaining miles are a steady but gentle downhill. Anyway, best of luck!!

Going west the hill is 1,900 feet across 10 miles
Going east it is 1,900 feet across 3 miles, no wonder you hated it. Killer grade
