But, at least their last name wasn’t Henderson. Or, was it?
4 months agoThe folks who run that hotel are WONDERFUL. I was stranded there for three days waiting for replacement tires (very long, sad story) and they really helped me out.
Please tell them I said Hi.
Dave, Chris and I are in awe of your determination!
4 months agoI've ordered a copy of that book - it sounds good for adults also. Thanks for the recommendation
4 months agoHi Dave,
We guessed Grand Canyon as well! 47 miles today. Long trek. Good luck tomorrow. Thinking of you and missing you!
Father’s Day seems so long ago!
Love,
Mike and Colleen (and of course Newman)
Beautiful!
4 months agoThat hill out of Kooskia was the toughest climb of the trip. Going over Hoosier pass and Togwatee pass was easier. It is all about the grade
4 months agoYes, the long downhill down old 95 into White Bird was awesome. Lot of braking but the views were spectacular

4 months agoStill to come (today, I think): White Bird Grade. You'll have a lovely 12 mile reward for your climbing efforts.
4 months agoThat nasty three mile hill is Lamb Grade. Going the opposite direction I opted to WALK down because it was so steep. I didn't trust that I would be able to control my speed without trashing the brakes or overheating the rims and blowing a tire. It took an hour to get down and I was soooooooo glad I had done it that way.
4 months agoI tip my helmet to you sir!
