It's good to be young, fit, and THIN.

Our plans have changed. We elected to make yesterday, the 21st, our final day of riding. On the other hand we have baseball tickets for Friday's Cubs/Cards game so we won't clear town until Saturday.
Could be that we could link up Friday during the day or Saturday morning depending on where you are.
Camping was viable everywhere we were. Some places are more deluxe than others. Jefferson City has numerous hotels. We made reservations early in the morning of the same day we stayed, no problem. At least three other Katy riders / groups are here as well.
I have several unopened backpacker meals to give you if we can connect and you want them.
Dave--looking good. Keep on.

6 months agoGlad you have left KY behind with all its hills and dogs. On to Carbondale and the Mighty Mississippi.
You must feel pretty happy to be making such progress after a twelve month pause. Enjoy the nation’s Memorial Weekend.
Wow, what a ride!!

6 months agoCould you have been staying at the Sebree Baptist Church here? If so, glad to see they are still opening their arms to cyclist. We had the best meal when we stayed here in 2012. Truly Southern Hospitality.
Glad to see that you stuck to your goal of returning to the TransAm Trail!! Happy trails. Be safe
Hahaha! But, TRUE!!!

Oh, my.
Those hills!
Glad you had enough left in the tank to visit with old friends.
But I bet you DO own the clothes you're wearing.
