1 year agoI remember that sign and I took a picture very nearby on my Northern Tier tour. And you're right, it WAS a beautiful spot on a (partly) sunny day.

1 year agoThanks, we loved the view but the bugs were pretty miserable. If I could find good alternatives to some of our upcoming camp nights I'd jump on em.

I use obsolete Bebop pedals. I carry a complete set of cleats and screws with me while touring because I know there will be no finding replacements on the road. I did use one once, in Alaska, when an old cleat wore through, and the plate was loose and clicking. I was proud of myself. Had I not carried the spares, I would have done like you and put new cleats on before leaving.
