Ha, great to hear from you! Went through S. Ontario two years ago while on a trip from Wpg to Nova Scotia. Will certainly get in touch if I pass through your neck of the woods.

Here is a voice from your past ... lovely to see you retired and out and about on your cycle. I, too, have retired and occasionally do some cycling (but not such long journeys!). If you are ever in Southern Ontario, I am in Simcoe ON (down near Lake Erie) and would love to return some of the hospitality I enjoyed in Croatia and Jordan! Keep safe. Donna Capper

Thanks, appreciate your kind words. Don't know yet what I have planned for next summer; maybe even a return to Nfld. Still lots there to explore.

You have a wonderful way with words. It is a real delight to read one of your blog pages. We will miss it when you are done, but hope you are planning some further adventures soon.

Thanks Raj,
This is the first time I have written a journal, and posted it no less. It's been fun. Awaiting something from you!

Sometimes I think of myself as being a man with big balls, yet I'm not fast enough anymore to pass many riders. Next time I feel strong enough to pass one though, I hope to have a piece of fruit to hand off. Very cool.

I gotta say, I love this journal. The similies, the metaphors, the symbolism, the odd references, and the well-told stories--all good stuff. Also, the setting seems other worldly. I just got done reading the whole thing (so far) in one sitting.

I am loving reading your journal. We visited Newfoundland in June for the first time. My last province! The kindness and friendliness of the people blew our minds. It is a place like no other and I left a bit of my heart there. But the weather? Oh my!

This is actually quite poignant - the 82/81 year olds died within 27 days of each other. My father actually did almost that after my Mom's passing - broken heart.

The stone also has some cryptic symbols - like what is 2 1/2 about? Is the dog their dog or a generic dog?

Don't know. When I put the new one on I just dumped the old one. Gearing has been a problem for me on a number of rides; I'd learn to adjust them myself but have nowhere to learn how to do it. Thanks for your comments and support!
