Thanks, Greg. For me it was a challenge. How do I make my journal unique and entertain readers? The last one I started off with a limerick each day but for this one I thought - can I do everything in rhyming verse? So far I’m keeping up but it can be a challenge. I actually woke up this morning and added to Day 6. Sleeping has a way of getting one to think about additional details and rehashes some of the day’s events.
At the end of the journal I’m going to have to add a “best rhyme” category and call it the “most naive rhyme” award in honor of you 👍🏼
Bold move writing your journal entirely in rhyming verse. I like it. My favorite rhyme so far: Wondered / 100, from day two.
3 years agoMike - sometimes I think of them while on the road. Oftentimes I’m trying to figure out how to explain something and have to figure out what rhymes with “Hyannis” or something like that. Since we eat dinner early (we are cycling tourists with hunger after all) I have plenty of time to refine the blog when we return to our overnight spot.
3 years agoHow long does it take you think out the rhymes each day?
Well done!
@Lednar - it was quite the sensation to receive your appreciation. Hope you enjoy reading about the rest of the trip; if I were you it’s a journal I definitely would not want to skip ;-)
