Yeah, I feel guilty travelling coach. But then, I rarely took an airplane anywhere until I was over 50.
6 months agoMy former colleague’s ongoing research was about ways to increase seismic resistance of masonry infill walls—which is what’s shown in the background here. This style of construction is very common in many regions.

6 months agoIt was amazing to see how few injuries/deaths there were in the recent Taiwan earthquake. They are very well prepared.
