To me the maze of narrow streets was one of the real charms of Seville. Good for you scoring lodgings near the center of the action.

What another beautiful place you found; two lovely cities, Villa Joyosa & Althea, which both bookend Benidorm, & gives hope for lovely, smaller cities.
The meal looks absolutely delicious & amazing!

Impressive architecture certainly, but a tad overdone along such a beautiful coastline?! šŸ¤”

Villa Joyosa seems like the perfect place to have a day full of joy & a restful one too!
The river ravine area seems quite lovely & good for an exploratory stroll.
The painted houses are delightful!
Sounds like your approach to Benidorm was the correct call; ā€œ in & outā€.

Great eye catching scenery on the Coast & along the way! Gorgeous, is only one word of many.
Andale!

Weā€™re puzzled by the same thing. How do they not realize the impact? Itā€™s a mystery.

Glad you had a nice day off. Those crowded beaches are crazy, aren't they. We saw that in Barcelona. It's hard for us to fathom that people still purposefully suntan.

The earplugs are a great idea. Even the smallest vehicle makes a tremendous noise.

Our experience with the respectful Spanish drivers has been the same. On the very rare occasion someone behaved like the woman in the tunnel we assumed it was a tourist in a rental car. Probably a North American tourist šŸ˜–. We stop before tunnels now and put in earplugs. The noise really is tremendous and I feel calmer when it is muffled.

The roads & especially the bike lanes look fabulous to ride, & how encouraging that bikes are respected by other drivers! šŸ™Œ šŸ‘.

ā€œElche to Alicanteā€ had some vivid memories for Terry, from when he was travelling there with some buddies, back in the day.
He will tell you all about that particular adventure , over coffee when you get back.
Andale!

An unusual feature for sure. At first glance, it seems to be a big awning, then you start to see the parts of the race boat, without its sails to identify it.
Interesting!

I bet thereā€™s a good reason. :)

Sounded like a lovely day. The bike paths sounded and looked great.

Spain is exceptional in driver courtesy. France isnā€™t bad, but Spain is better.

Interesting that the sign is in English with no Spanish.

We had a laugh yesterday in Croatia when we saw a big sign painted on a boat saying "Dolphins Watching". A very understandable mistake but we laughed as we imagined dolphins busily watching us!
