:) I didn't know you were born in Kansas! :)
1 year agoI've enjoyed all the quirky local "art" you've shared
1 year agoWow. NICE surprise
1 year agoOur route included 30 or more miles on park system trails, which held interest for navigational challenges if nothing else.
I enjoyed the time here. You live in a wonderful place, apart from the winters.
Sorry that your last day was a rainout. Hopefully it will make you feel a little better when I tell you that the section between North Branch and Maple Grove would probably have been the least interesting and least scenic day of your tour.
Anyway, good job on the tour and the journal. I like to read other peoples' perspectives on my state.
Thanks Suzanne.
1 year agoThanks Kelly, both for the kind words and the invitation.
1 year agoThanks George. It's a great place to ride.
Glad you enjoyed the read.
I'm glad it was such a fine tour. Thanks for taking us along!
1 year agoI enjoyed reading along with you. Thanks for sharing.
1 year agoIt was fun following along. I enjoyed a few days in Minnesota in 2021 as I rode the Northern Tier route, especially enjoyed the Lake Wobegone and other trails. Reading your journal makes me want to return and ride other routes and trails. Best wishes and safe travel home,
1 year agoI thought so! I recognized that porch instantly, but had to consult the post of our own ride to Duluth to be sure. That’s the Grant House Hotel. We stayed there: https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/duluth17/saint-paul-again/#1765_9160ca4caf1f88ed5543752d3dcc8ba9
1 year agoWe bought a house once with too much (for me), wood planking. The realtor was horrified at my opinion, asking if I had any idea what the cost was to install it. You will know someone had a generous budget when they have the ceiling done also.
1 year ago"TRUCKS HAULING" seems to be unique to Minnesota, or at least I've never encountered the phrase anywhere else.
