I finally got signed up with cycleblaze so I can comment. So glad you guys are enjoying yourselves. Your working thru how to slow down is an example for the rest of us work-work-work slaves, for sure. I'm sure you'll get your sea legs and get back to more biking. Probably going to come home 20 pounds lighter, too.
5 years agoYes, we intend to employ that strategy from here on, plus no days longer than about 60km. The heat is just so intense even in the early hours!
5 years agoIt was amazing! And after such a day, so perfect!
5 years agoYes! They do seem to be determined to take us down!
5 years agoThis is the reason Dodie developed our game plan for riding in the Yucatan. We start riding just before first light, about 5:30 and ride until about noon. This way we can look around in the early afternoon, get a really early bedtime and start again at about 4 or 4:30 next day. We use the da brims at all times to try to have rolling shade.

5 years agoThat's the single line version. If they think your wheel is still intact, they will put a double line of bumps, offset from each other!
5 years agoHaha! It's in the very shallow end!
5 years agoHow did you get in that without getting wet?!
5 years agoHaha! I think we are the king and queen of slow, but I know what you mean. The relaxed nature here in Mexico does not encourage fast travelling! We will follow you as well of course, and one of these days we might actually be in the same place at the same time! Until then, happy travels!!!
5 years agoCool! Thanks!
5 years ago+1 follower! Welcome to Mexico! Shame it's such a big country, we are still in Baja, probably we won't make it to Yucatan now, we are too slow. Will enjoy following your adventures instead!
