Now this is more like it! You two have been getting off too easy, and are making us envious.

Pretty, but watch out for the nasty thorns hidden by that beauty.

The one on the left of the pic is a pedicab, but the others are motorcycles with added bits. We've seen all sorts of weird and wonderful ways that people have invented to haul people and stuff around!

Are these guys pedalling these gigantic contraptions? Holy cow, that's gotta be a lot of work

Morning glory species come in all sizes and many colors. Leaves are typically more heart shaped than your pictures, but they are typically long, thin vines.

They are very small flowers though - about 1" in diameter. I've only seen bigger flowers that are Morning Glory. I'll try to get a better shot next time I see these. Along the Ruta Puuc they were everywhere in the morning but when we rode back in the afternoon they had all closed up.

Yep, it's only in Mexico, but it's a big deal down here for sure!

This is in the historic old town so yes people live here in some places, some are businesses and some are actually just painted on the front and empty in back. Most people live in other parts of Campeche, but not having a car we didn’t get to other areas. We are thinking that next time we come we will get an Airbnb in this area of town since we loved it so much!

It’s really hard to resist but I will try! Funnily enough we mailed off our mats as all the beds we’ve had have been great until today! Not sure how much sleep I’ll get but oh well, it’s just one night right? 😳

Wow, you *really* overpacked! That'll be cool to dump the extra. Reminds me of the movie "Wild" where that guy helps her dump about half her backpack load. You're better off than she was; i think she just had to toss everything she left behind!
Now you need Jim to talk you out of any more blouses. No more cute kids!

That's really interesting that a football game between the Seahawks and the Vikings -- on Monday night football, no less -- is more of an annoying distraction than something to look forward to for you now. I think you've gone native! Good for you!
