Jen Rahn commented on BRUCE STATS - THAILAND Part 1

That's crazy that lodging cost has increased so much in just 3 years.

Have you seen that much of a price increase with anything else?

Still amazing how affordable it is compared with so many other travel destinations.

How do they compare to canned chicken?

You can't fool me. I know that gecko! It's Earl Bailey.

Have you tried these?

For some reason spicy lobster sounds good to me, but I just can't imagine a squid-flavored potato chip.

Can't wait to see that!

I'm sure your highest bid will be at least US$352,783.

Seriously? You count dead snakes? Do you have a little counter attached to the handlebar to help you keep track?

What color are they inside? I wonder if they’re anything like the awful stone eggs I tried in Taiwan.

Bruce: "Hello. Is this Norbert's Bar?"

Norbert: "Yeah. Whaddaya want?"

Bruce: "Could you please page my friend, Seymour?"

Norbert: "Yeah .. what's the last name?"

Bruce: "Butz"

Norbert: "Paging Mr. Butz. Mr. Seymour Butz."

What a wonderful old structure, worthy of a whole gallery. Seeing it slowly make its way back to nature makes me think of the old Nelson House east of Dufur that sadly finally burned to the ground the summer before last.

Might be some kind of Ruellia, based on image comparisons.

Three years ago the average hotel price for our entire trip was just under $12 per night so this seems outrageously high for us. That's up about 40% in only three years when we are used to things never changing much in Asia. However, the quality of accommodations has gone up quite a bit too. It's really nice to stay in places like this - spotlessly clean and brand new.

Skeetolene .. now that's a product that deserves a catchy jingle!

That's a sweet deal. $16.66 for a cozy place with a shower and a nice outdoor sitting area!
