It seems that 'squirrel' is the perfect name for these rodents. Look at that face. It could only be a squirrel face.
3 years agoJust ride through it. It's fun!

3 years agoGlad you remembered what your money is for. Well done.
I’ve been to Kzoo a bunch since I have in-laws in the area. It’s a great little city.
What a pair!
GBO definitely looks happy to be protected from the rain.
Jim Fitch says we should repurpose the oil pipelines for water from the south to the west.
3 years agoI hate rain pants. I have a pair, but I shipped them ahead to New York for the second half of the tour. It has to be really cold and wet for me to consider them. Rachael will use them on occasion though.
That said, you might look at the weather forecast up here for the next two weeks. Pretty bleak. The west burns, but we’ll likely drown.
Brussel sprouts are my favorite! I could eat an entire pan, alone!
We finally got a little weather here in dry western Colorado. I got a little wet on the way home - wet enough to ask Jacinto if he thought we needed to buy rain pants for Michigan . . . . neither of us even own rain pants. They are a slippery problem when sitting on my recumbent set. So much sliding that my knee ends up hurting from all of the 'slide down, push back up, slide down, etc'
Hurray for a dry day!
Yup. I think of you every time we pass one. They’re pretty common on these flat bike routes here.

Ahhh, Kalamazoo! As soon as I saw your title for today's post, I was hoping you'd find Bell's Brewery which is one of the finest in the Mid-West, in my opinion. We had their Two Hearted Ale at the Lock & Dam Eatery here in Hastings. (I probably shouldn't have that last one.) I shouldn't be surprised that you did, indeed, find it.
3 years agoAbout 35 years ago, The Feeshko and I spent a night in Kalamazoo. We had been doing an all-day and all-night drive to Frankenmuth, Michigan where I was to be the best man for my college best friend's wedding. When I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore, we pulled over to the parking lot in front of a diner at 4:00 a.m. and slept in our Plymouth Horizon. Perhaps you saw that diner?
