What a handsome perch for GBO! A rock designed specifically for GBO photographing purposes.
3 years agoThe places we are staying have very expensive breakfasts that are very large which doesn’t work well for me and because it’s going to be hot we like to get an early start. It looks like cafes and breakfast spots open after 8 am. Any suggestions?

3 years agoThanks for letting me know. I wondered, especially with the straw still hanging off the lip. I’ll bet this one was horse drawn. We’re in Amish country, and if they’re plowing the fields with horses scooping up hay would be easy work.
3 years agoHi Scott,
I’m not sure about the correct name for it, but I know what it’s used for. It’s for making hay stacks. Fork hay onto the lower part, and it is carried by a sort of conveyor to the top and added to the stack. There might be a way to power it with horses, but I’ve only ever seen them used but running a belt off a tractor.
Cheers,
Keith
We’ve never kept track of our miles, other than while on tour. As just a swag though, I’d put us at somewhere between 200 and 300 thousand miles; and maybe another 50 thousand or so for myself before we formed the team.
3 years agoOf course I wouldn’t take a 40 mile ride on a rest day. That would be really overdoing it. This was only 39.
3 years agoYes, the only dog encounters I’ve had in Europe are from sheep dogs and their fine if you don’t get to close to the sheep. My back is doing okay bicycling I just need to be sure to stretch and not pick up heavy things.
3 years agoI like how the legs below line up with the seated driver, almost making home look like a really tall guy walking behind the horses!
3 years agoNothing like 2nd breakfast with a view to celebrate 2k miles!
Congratulations.
How many total Team Anderson miles are you up to now?
Cool design, and visually appealing!
3 years agoWhat’s with this riding on a rest day? Especially 40 miles!
3 years agoYup, that's an old milk can. I remember in the early days of the farm where I grew up (before we modernized to have a tank to store milk), we used those cans to transport milk from the farm to the local creamery.

If a rock goes well with both the GBO *and* your raincoat, it must accompany you on your journey.
