5 years agoHi Bill ,
It’s taken a while to get back to Folks when they comment. As you know, and contrary to what a lot of people think, there’s not a lot of free time on a bike trip! We do really appreciate the comments and encouragement that we get from folks though . As for Clair being confused, maybe we can have nightly history lessons at Amiskwi!
Another tough day. You guys rock! We are both dealing with colds but are finally getting to good cycling country. We were in Portugal and encountered either cobblestones, steep climbing or traffic or all three.

5 years agoHi Lyle
Visiting Clair and Marie in Roblin and we were catching up on your journey. Clair was very confused about the Berlin wall stuff, but thats Clair.
Hope things continue to go well, and that you don't get too much rain.

HI Kim,
Thanks for the kind comments.
I’m using a combo of iPhone ( both mine and Kirsten ‘s) for snap shot type pic’s (sitting in restaurants and the like) and my Olympus OM-D-5 MKII with a 24-300 mm equivalent zoom. I also have a few very fast prime lenses but I haven’t used them much. The pic you were referring to was taken with the Olympus. I crop the pics and reduce the size quite a bit so the upload faster. The originals are superb quality but around 10-14 mb each
Lyle, I love picture #7 with Kirsten in the distance under the tree canopy. It looks like a painting! These done with a camera or phone. Enjoying your blog and the pictures. Your writing is fab. Keep it up.
5 years agoThanks Kim. Kirsten’s looking pretty flash in her brand new Gore Wear jacket. It arrived via Amazon two days before we left.
Not only looks flash but works great too. Full on test yesterday as it drizzled all day and then we got dumped on riding into Berlin.
Thanks Rachel. Sweden and Denmark are both great for cycling .... just hard to get a cup of coffee early in the morning!
Hope your Spain trip is going great.
Still the same bikes Sharon! Can’t really ‘upgrade’ what we have. They are the bike equivalent of an AMG Mercedes G-wagon! If we decided we would sooner have a more blinging Range Rover, we could get Van Nicholas titanium bikes, but that’s not really an upgrade, just flash!
5 years agoRight on sister! Grab the power back from the greedy corporations! 🤑

I can see why you needed frequent stops to plot a route!
