Pedaling without panniers would be a welcome blessing!
3 years agoSounds like you’re making the most of your trip and making memories. In case you aren’t yet aware, peaches are in season!! If you have an opportunity to partake in a local peach festival, don’t miss it!
3 years agoThis area has had a lot of rain this summer so not too low. Yes, a lot of kayaking!

3 years agoKimsan,
I notice the rocky shoreline. Is the water level down? The Androscoggin looks like a river that I would like to kayak.
Kimsan,
With rain in the forecast, did you remain at the campground or scramble for a bed with a roof? If I can possibly avoid it, I don't camp in the rain. It makes the next morning a pain-in-the-butt of drying out every thing.
Kimsan,
Have you ever seen a moose? They are HUGE! I can't imagine hitting one in a car.
My next tour may be all rail trails.
3 years agoKimsan,
They start 'em so young with LaCrosse in some states, and in Ohio, I didn't even see the game played until I was 18.
Kimsan,
But I notice that even the pictures of those back roads show a slight uphill grade. I didn't expect your planned route to be so hilly.
Kimsan,
I have made a vow that I am going to do whatever it takes to avoid cars in the future. I am such a big fan of rail-trails.
Sweet Spot!!

3 years agoHi Patty and Matt. Nice to hear from you! We enjoyed meeting you as well and hearing about your love of kayaking, among other fun activities. The Waterford was a great, memorable experience. Now we are hiding in our tents while it is raining. Wasn’t quite expecting that tonight! Thank you for the kind words and encouragement!

I suppose that all these pictures of plates are going to end up on Facebook too. That's what everybody does.
