Looking forward to your experiences on the Cross Vermont Trail. Haven't explored that yet, but would like to. Also, be aware that the Burlington-Port Kent ferry is closed for the season. https://ferries.com/vt-ny-ferry-routes/burlington-vt-port-kent-ny/burlington-vt-port-kent-ny-crossing-temporarily-closed-vt-port-kent-ny/
The ferry further south (Charlotte-Essex) is open though.
