Very good. :)
That one would impress and entertain car drivers.

Very similar to the kitchen table we had in the 1950’s

Greg thanks for the interest. The irony is that I used to manage and run rural leadership development programs which included public speaking training and practice. However when I need to speak to large groups myself, I still go through the usual ‘fight or flight’ response.

If given the choice, most people would prefer to be burned alive than do public speaking.

Thankfully this gathering was very friendly, informal and very receptive to the old guy on a heavy bike. It was a fun day.

On a couple of occasions, I had to speak in front of two or three hundred people. I'm not a public speaker and I was terrified. When the time came, though, it didn't seem so bad. I think I messed up my words less than a dozen times.
I'm enjoying your journal. Keep moving forward, Lord Graham.

Karen I don’t think I’d pitch my tent next to it. :)

Yes, Canada has/had 3: Ojibwa, Onondaga, and Okanagan. More info at https://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/oberon-class-submarines

Oberon class - all boats in the class had names beginning with O.
Used by
Royal Navy, RAN and I think also Canada.

Hi Mike the Barton Highway is much improved nowadays but still busy, even on a Sunday morning. There only are a few short stretches where extra caution is needed.

The speed limit is 80km/hr for quite a few kms where the road is yet to be duplicated. Yass is almost a suburb of Canberra nowadays.

The shoulder does tend to disappear from time to time.
