Taking pictures allows me to catch my breath! This was a fantastic day but also the most challenging.

Me too. A hydraulic dropper post would help. I have one on my mountain bike and they are on some gravel bikes but the starting-on-a-hill trick isn’t their main purpose.

Amazing photos and great job on the climb! I’m with you that if I have to keep stopping it’s better to walk! If it’s too steep I can’t get started again!

We’ll have to compare notes! I’ll be following your journal down memory lane, I think.

It wasn’t too bad because it wasn’t a hot day. Unfortunately, no cableway options for getting out of Cortina. We looked.

I get tired looking at it. But we would have done it if we weren’t on loaded bikes.

Uncanny! In about five weeks, Susanna and I will be riding EXACTLY these same roads and routes. I'm trying not to gaze at your photos too long for sake of a self inflicted 'spoiler alert', but I can't help it. WOW!

Fantastic ride you two. That's some tough riding but with some huge 'visual' rewards!!
