2 years agoI’m not sure if it’s for flow control, water supply for the rifugios, or maybe snowmaking. The pass is a saddle with high peaks on both sides so presumably the water comes from snowmelt. We heard, though, that there wasn’t much precipitation last winter.
2 years agoIt surprises me that there's a man-made reservoir at the *top* of the hill... the bottom seems, intuitively at least, the more obvious spot.
