Such a good idea that you made time for some hiking in Cinque Terre! We were there years ago (before cycle touring), and enjoyed walking through all the scenic villages.

2 years agoWe are a little crazy, but not crazy enough to ride, I mean hike-a-bike, back up. We will take the train to Levanto tomorrow and ride from there.
2 years agoI can’t believe you biked to Vernazza, and with loaded bikes! Impressive, but I’d take a hike and take the train out.

2 years agoWe usually hand wash each day with an occasional laundromat visit. In Spain we lucked out as many of the apartments we stayed in had washers. All different, with no instructions.

2 years agoAren’t laundromats fun! I did laundry yesterday and the first spot I went to didn’t exist so I had to go to a second spot! It’s fun lugging laundry around on a hot day.

2 years agoIt’s a 33 cl one, so normal size. But the one he had in San Gemignano de Moriano, midway on a long ride, was 66 cl. I wouldn’t be able to ride after one of those. He did fine.

A bit of hiking was the reason we came. We only stayed two nights because accommodation here is twice as much as elsewhere. And having experienced it now, it's too hot and crowded compared to cycling.
