Looks like one of our kind of days! I’m glad to see this route though, which we’ve nearly opted for a couple of times now. It still might make the cut some year.
2 years agoI just looked at your photo again and saw I’d “liked” it when I read your journal. It is a great shot.
2 years agoI’d never heard of this spot until we biked past it purely by chance on our ride from Bergamo to Varenna five years ago. Too late in the day to visit the museum, but we at least came away with one of our favorite photos of us together: https://www.cycleblaze.com/journals/dubrovnik2018/to-varenna/#14886_jx66ldfadls0rv0n3gn0m7l4jlp

2 years agoNo. It wasn’t muddy at all, just rocky and steep. Al rode up but but he has better bike handling skills than I do.
2 years agoLooks really unpleasant. Did your fenders get filled with muck?
2 years agoGreat picture anyway!
2 years agoNothing like a nice clean kit!

It looks DELICIOUS!!!
What a great day and adventure! Congratulations on taking a risk on getting through. To me this looks like the best day of your tour so far.
2 years agoMaybe Scott is better at sharing but, when it comes to food, Al isn’t.

Thanks for giving our faded memories of this area a kick in the pants. Looks like riding Stelvio in your plans? Great shots in today's journal.
