You don't have to go miles from home to see interesting stuff.
BTW here in the state of Victoria Oz you can ride as far as you like but you must start from home. Using your car to get to the start is a no no.

4 years agoUnfortunately I'd left my bungie cords at home and so wasn't able to attach them to my rear rack.
4 years agoWe’re finding the same thing here - the safest place to be is on these old, empty back roads. The most folks we saw here before the shutdown order were at formerly quiet places like Sauvie Island and the Banks-Vernonia Trail. The county roads though really are empty.

4 years agoThanks for the feedback Bob. I'm having fun exploring some of the back roads of central Iowa for the first time - sort of my own little mini tour. Anything with a whiff of normalcy is a welcome respite these days.
