We stopped to look at one of these as we toured around Inle Lake, Myanmar on bikes (years ago, before the coup). Our guide claimed that they sometimes jump off of the web, which seemed unlikely but put me back on my bike immediately. I do love them, though, they're beautiful and formidable.

Graham, probably all of the above. I suspect that Thorn were probably behind the Iron Horse, used on the HCM. Ian

Thanks Andrea, I must confess to being overwhelmed by the meaning and tend to just enjoy the architecture, art, gardens, etc associated with Wats. Of course. The same is often true of other religions. Ian

I’m a bit worried about your bikes.

Are they languishing in a bike lock-up somewhere, or did you leave them on the train?
Or are they now being used by locals as freight bikes on the Ho Chi Minh Trail?

Yes, the Abbott wins but which Abbott is it?

Proof, if it was required, that one is never far from a classic French car.

The Abbot wins. Best garage for a Volksy ever.

Lyle, absolutely! I've been astounded by it on every trip to Asia. It's often combined with a "can do" attitude. Ian
