Orofino, ID! My college best buddy (and best man at my wedding) lives up on the hill toward the lake!
6 months agoI just saw a flag in a cafe window in Orofino which said Patriots vs Stealers - hanging next to a let’s go Brandon flag.
That was not what I had in mind when I wrote the caption.
I passed the compliment on. Thank you.
6 months agoTack this one on a wall.
6 months agoDepends on how you define “patriotic”
6 months agoIt was a good omelet, definitely not related to those plastic eggs at the chain motels!
The camper was really cute, and would be nice for one person in the bed. Or, maybe two people without nighttime bathroom issues . . .
I think it's odd they even sold Jacinto one crank arm. Don't they come in pairs?
You're riding that Highway 3 route we discussed a while back. Thanks for describing what I missed when, due to forest fires, I took an alternate route from Lewiston up to Moscow.
6 months agoIt is important to tell the truth, but despite its shortcomings, that trailer still looks charming to me. I'm not a breakfast guy, but I'd eat that breakfast.
6 months agoTell Jacinto that mis-matched crank arms, in my opinion, are pretty cool. And, as he said, the main thing is that he was back on the road.
6 months agoNine o'clock is crazy. No matter who the clientele is, I've never seen a U.S. motel or hotel that began serving breakfast later than 6:00 a.m. I always check out the runny scrambled eggs/weird cheese omelets/ridiculously thin bacon/mushy sausage patties, etc., but they just don't look appetizing. I usually settle for coffee and apple juice.
With the cute trailer and its kitchen, axe throwing, and such a massive feast, I must say your accommodations on this night are exceptional.
Hearing that a strong rider like Jacinto had to walk little bit of a steep downhill makes me feel better about my own experience having to walk a super steep descent yesterday. But I walked more than a "tiny" part of mine.
6 months agosheroes! Love it! Sylvia is a doll, of course. That's a common opinion.
6 months agoSylvia of course is one of my triking sheroes. Glad you could meet up.
6 months agoI don't think I was with you when Jacinto had a clicking chain link about to fall apart.
It's easy to imagine Jacinto trashing a bottom bracket after only 10,000 miles. Maybe your good luck with bottom brackets is partly because you and Jacinto generally replace bikes after less than 10 years. You don't ride elderly high mileage bikes like my 2005 and 2007 Bacchettas.
It's a warm one here today. I wonder if he went to the lake.
